Still time to enter IDEM's wetlands photo contest

Photographers and outdoors enthusiasts have less than a month remaining to create and submit their best Indiana wetlands photos in the Indiana Department of Environmental Management's photo contest.

Winning photos will be used for the 2008 Indiana Wetlands Calendar produced later in 2007 by IDEM.

Deadline is Sept. 14 for the photo contest, which promotes the protection and preservation of Indiana wetlands.

Wetlands filter pollutants from our groundwater supply, absorb and reduce damage caused by flood waters, and provide habitat for diverse species. Humans benefit most from healthy wetlands. IDEM encourages preservation and protection of wetlands.
