Vera Arterburn

Vera Birge Arterburn, 84, of Crawfordsville, died Aug. 21, 2007, at Williamsburg Healthcare.

She was born Oct. 29, 1922, in Thompkinsville, Ky., to Clarence and Nellie Ritter Birge. She married Homer Arterburn on Feb. 15, 1940, who preceded her in death in January 1999.

Mrs. Arterburn was a member of Darlington Christian Church.

Surviving are a son, Dan Arterburn (wife: Judy) of Crawfordsville; two daughters, Nancy Monroe (husband: Jim) of Crawfordsville and Joan White (husband: Bob) of Delphi; a sister, Louise Stark of Crawfordsville; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 14 stepgreat grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be Aug. 23 at 12 p.m. with services to follow at 2 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
