Thomas L. Everett

Services for Thomas L. Everett, 65, of Delphi, were held Saturday at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville. Pastor Guy Studebaker officiated. Burial was at Rossville Cemetery.

He died Aug. 14, 2007, at his residence.

Born Sept. 7, 1941, in Cutler, he was the son of Emerson and Hilda Sibbet Everett. He attended Cutler schools and graduated from Rossville High School in 1959. On Sept. 4, 1959, he married Mary H. James and she survives.

Mr. Everett was a carpenter all of his life and had worked at Purdue University for over thirty years.

He loved to read and work with wood.

Surviving with his wife are three sons, Jeffery A. Everett and Thomas L. Everett Jr., both of Delphi, and William Clark Everett of Monticello; one daughter, Lori Ann Everett of Lafayette; one brother, William Everett of Delphi; one stepbrother, Elmo Everett of Delphi; one stepsister, Geraldine Flora of Delphi; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, David W. Everett; two sisters, Frances Burge and Leanna Sue James; and four brothers, Charles, Junior, Franklin and Richard Everett.
