Rossville's royalty to be crowned Friday evening

The Summers' End Festival Queen and King and Little Miss and Mister will be announced Friday evening during a special program at 6:30 in the Rossville School Multi-Purpose Room. All candidates will be introduced before the winners are crowned.

Winners are determined by the most money collected.

Each candidate has had a container with their picture on it at various businesses throughout Rossville during the past month. The containers have been rotated regularly.

Rossville area businesses have donated money and prizes for contestants. The king will receive a crown and the queen, a tiara, as well as each receiving $75.

The Little Miss and Mister will also receive gifts, as will all the contestants. The Little Miss and the other candidates, her court, will also be given crowns.

All the winners will participate in Saturday's festival parade.

Anthony Leahy, 18, son of Pat and Jennifer Leahy, is the lone candidate for king.

Competing for queen are: Caroline Griffin, 16, daughter of Bob and Holly Crowder and Wes Griffin; Brittany Royer, 16, daughter of Brian and Jessica Royer; and Megan Zobel, 18, daughter of Dawn Zobel and Ed Zobel.

Little Mister candidates include:

Blade Barrett, 8, son of Adam and Mary Barrett.

Ethan Michael Butler, 6, son of Paul and Melanie Michael-Butler.

Ryan Cron, 6, son of Courtney and Ian Schroeder.

Myles Hanna, 4, son of Jim and Gwin Hanna.

Hunter Klecz, 4, son of Adam and Mirissa Klecz.

Candidates for Little Miss are:

Elizabeth Michael-Butler, 8, daughter and Paul and Melanie Michael-Butler.

Shelby Crowder, 7, daughter of Bob and Hollty Crowder.

Charity Kelly, 6, daughter of Ralph and Susan Kelly.

Shameka Kelly, 6, daughter of Ralph and Susan Kelly.

Madison Miller, 4, daughter of Tom and Kristen Miller.

Carly Resler, 7, daughter of Rhonda and Josh Resler.

Peyton Resler, 6, daughter of Rhonda and Josh Resler.

Cassidy Underwood, 7, daughter of Ben and Heather Underwood.

Chloe Wakefield, 4, daughter of Christy McGill and Raymond Wakefield.

Elizabeth Yoder, 7, daughter of Eddie and Angie Yoder.

Emma Yoder, 4, daughter of Eddie and Angie Yoder.
