The annual Deer Creek Festival and Hog Roast will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. There will be activities all day long and the festival promises to be a fun time for the whole family. An "all you can eat" hog roast will be served from 4 to 7:30 p.m.

Youth of Faith Lutheran Church hosted a luncheon after worship for Pastor Tom Mc- Shannock and Pastor Sandy Hutchens as an ongoing celebration for their ordinations, Pastor Sandy marks 20 years and Pastor Tom, 30 years in the ministry. The surprise luncheon was followed by musical entertainment by "Steadfast."

The Golden Girls of Deer Creek enjoyed a luncheon recently, meeting at theWest Side Diner in Logansport. Those attending were Joan Jones of Thorntown, Mary Blue of Cutler, Dot Fulton, Marilyn Hile andMargyAlbaugh, all of Deer Creek, and Betty Gordon and Jane Slusser of Logansport.
