Football gets under way
      Carroll and Delphi varsity football teams open regular season play Friday night. The Oracles travel to Central Catholic for a 7 p.m. contest, while the Cougars host Tri-County at home at 7:30. Delphi girls defeat Pioneer
      Delphi girls' golf team is 2-2 after Monday's 212-251 win over Pioneer, played at Pond View, Monticello. Jenny Maxwell shot a 49 and was medalist. Other Delphi scores were Kylie German 53, Brittany Tyner 54, Sydney Smith 56, Abby Diebolt 67.

Carroll girls win first four meets
      Carroll defeated Pioneer in girls golf played last Thursday at the Angel Hill Golf Course in Rossville. Carroll's score was 186 and Pioneer 259. Carroll was led by Megan Garrison's 39, followed by Krystal Brazel 42, Taylor Sproul 47, Carissa Hicks 58, Chelse Baker 59 and Aurora Shands 60.
