On Jan. 18, 1930, she married Darrell Griffey in Frankfort and he died in 1980.

For many yearsMrs. Griffey worked as a meter maid for the City of Delphi. She was active in the Delphi Christian Church and Women's Christian Temperance Union.

Since retiring and moving to Kokomo, she was involved with home healthcare as well as volunteer work for the Kokomo Rescue Mission.

Mrs. Griffey has four daughters, three sons, one stepson, 31 grandchildren, 48 greatgrandchildren, and 13 greatgreat grandchildren. One daughter, one stepson, two grandchildren, and one greatgreat grandchild are deceased.
