A meeting will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Community Building for participants in the LittleMiss andMister and Camden Queen contests. Practice and judges'interviewswill be held the morning of the pageants, starting at 9. Pageantswill begin at 2 p.m. in the Community Building.

The 57th annualCamdenTractor Pull will be held Friday and Saturday at the town park. Friday's events begin at 6:30 p.m., with the truck pull at approximately 8 p.m. Saturday's events will begin at 1:30 p.m. Ball gameswill also be held both days.

Camden American Legion Auxiliary met Aug. 6 at the Sportsman Restaurant in Monticello for their annual dinner out with 13 members attending. Grace Deel read the installation ceremony for Sue Wertz, president; Twylia Wertz, vice president; and Janet Barnaby, treasurer. All other officers remained the same. Others present were Grace Arion, Alice Linn, Marlene Ramsey, Carol Draper, ConnieGarrison,Helen Simmerman, Dorothy Stark, Ruby Roberson,HelenCree and Evetta Recher. The nextmeeting will be Sept. 3 at the Legion Home with HelenCree and EvettaRecher the committee in charge.

The board of Christian Education of theBaptistChurchmet recently. SueWertz reported that the vision committee is planning to start a program similar to Beacon's Club, but with a different name, and involve all the other churches. At the present time, ages are kindergarten through sixth grade. Pastor Paul andTerry Marcellino and ShellyBritton are working on the programwhich is expected to meet once a month.
