Girls' golf gets under way with invitationals

Carroll Girls Golf Team competed Aug. 1 in the Caston Invitational played at the Logansport Country Club. Carroll finished 4th out of 10 teams with a score of 415. Carroll was led by Megan Garrison with an 82, followed by Krystal Brazel with a 94. Other Carroll scores were: Taylor Sproul 116, Malena Zook 123 and Aurora Shands 125. Garrison also placed 2nd overall individually with Brazel tying for 4th place.

Carroll also participated in the Benton Central Invitational Aug. 3 at the Oak Grove Country Club in Oxford. Carroll placed 10th out of 16 teams with a team score of 414. Garrison led Carroll with an 86, followed by Brazel 100, Taylor Sproul 110, Malena Zook 118 and Carissa Hicks 128.

Delphi finished in 6th place with a team score of 440, led by Jenny Maxwell's 94. At Oxford, Delphi finished 14th with a team score of 442, again led by Maxwell with 98.
