Pluth-Calhoun

Joseph and Lucy Pluth of Richton Park, Ill., and Bill and Pat Calhoun of Flora announce the engagement of their children, Sara Pluth and Mark Calhoun.

The bride-elect is a 1994 graduate of Marian Catholic High School. She received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Illinois in 1998 and a master's degree in education in 2003. She teaches chemistry at Barrington High School in Barrington, Ill.

Her fiancé is a 1988 graduate of Carroll High School. He graduated from Purdue University in 1992 with a bachelor's degree in environmental science, and received an MBA from Indiana State University in 2000. He is employed as a Kraft Food Supply Chain Manager and is a 1st Lt. in the Indiana National Guard.

They both reside in Chicago.

A Nov. 10 wedding is being planned.
