Richard W. Rush

Richard Wayne Rush, 43, of Delphi, died Aug. 3, 2007, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 17, 1963, in Lafayette, to Wayne and Caroline Weir Rush. His marriage was to Janet L. Denton in Delphi on Feb. 18, 1994, and she survives.

Mr. Rush worked at Tyson Foods in Logansport for the past six years. He attended Twin Lakes Southern Baptist Church in Monticello.

Surviving are a daughter, Ricki Lynn Rush of Monticello; two sons, Jeromy Rush of Delphi and Jacob Rush of Monticello; a step-daughter, Brandi Nape of Delphi; a stepson, Gary A. Short Jr. of Camden; his parents, both of Delphi; two brothers, Joe Rush (wife: Diane) of Monticello and Jeff Rush (wife: Tina) of Washburn, Tenn.; two stepbrothers, Brian and David Busch; his maternal grandmother, Edith Myrl Huskey of Delphi; his mother-in-law, Beverly Walker, who lived with Mr. Rush and his family; and seven grandchildren.

Private family services were held Aug. 6 with the assistance of Abbott Funeral Home.
