Elizabeth D. Marvin

Elizabeth D. "Liz" Marvin, 89, died Aug. 1, 2007, at White County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 18, 1918, in Logansport, to Hale and Dowinia McDonald Clark. Her marriage was April 22, 1937, in Logansport, to Childs "Chiz" Marvin. He died July 22, 1995.

Mrs. Marvin was instrumental in starting the town park in Idaville, where she worked many summers planting flowers.

She was a member of Hickory Grove Church in rural Carroll County.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary F. Shaffer and Jean E. Barnes (husband: Skip), both of Monticello.

Services were Saturday in Monticello.
