Local photo in 'Country' magazine A photo of a Carroll County farm scene is in the August/September issue of "Country" magazine. Gail Seest of Mulberry, who took the photo and submitted it to the magazine, said the location was just northeast of Paint Creek Cemetery. The photo is an aerial view of farmers baling straw. Seest said the photo was taken on July 6, 2005. She and her husband, Mark, took her father, Tom Baker's 1941 J3 Piper Cub out for a flight that day. "We decided to combine it with a little bit of fun - picture taking and practicing our tailwheel/ flying skills," Seest said. "We had taken off from the Flora Airport and flew northeasterly, and had been practicing some aerial maneuvers. It was just a lucky picture, as the timing was just right to get them all in the picture from the moving airplane." |
