Head Start to begin at Carroll

      Carroll School Board has approved entering into an agreement with Head Start, allowing the preschool to use one of the Carroll Elementary classrooms. The action was taken at a regular board meeting July 24. Superintendent John Sayers said Head Start classes begin around the middle of September.

Traffic stop nets marijuana

      Three Frankfort men were arrested Friday night after K-9 Reno alerted officers to the presence of illegal drugs in a vehicle that was stopped for equipment violations. A search of the vehicle revealed 43 grams of marijuana hidden under the ash try inside the rear passenger door.

New 13-oz. mail rule is in effect

      A new Postal Service rule went into effect Monday for packages and envelopes that weigh more than 13 ounces.
