Burlington Former Burlington resident Florence Bell will celebrate her 100th birthday with an open house on Aug. 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Deer Creek Community Center. Cards would be appreciated. Dewey and Jane Reames will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Faith Church of Christ. Scoops Night for the Faith Jamaica team will be Aug. 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. Women's Missionary Society will meet Aug. 2 at the First Brethren Church. Kiwanis Club will meet at 7:30 a.m. Saturday for breakfast and meeting at the fire station. Guest speakers will be scholarship winners who will tell about their future plans. Community Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday. Burlington Park Board will meet Aug. 1. |
