80th birthday open house
Jeane Riley, formerly of Delphi, will celebrate her 80th birthday Sept. 1. Her family will host a birthday party open house in her honor Aug. 4 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Wabash & Erie Canal Interpretive Center in Delphi.

Mrs. Riley was born in Carroll County in 1927 and was raised in Delphi. She graduated from Delphi High School in 1945.

She and her husband, the late William Riley, were married at Delphi United Methodist Church, where she is a member. They had one daughter, Gail, and she resides in Elkhart.

Mrs. Riley worked for Dr. Tam, an optometrist in Delphi, and was a homemaker.

A family reunion will be held in the evening after the open house.
