Frank G. Faurote

Frank G. Faurote, 65, of Lafayette, died at his residence on July 23, 2007.

Born in Lafayette on Sept. 5, 1941, he was the son of Earl F. and Christa M. Owens Faurote. He married Esther Jane Myers on March 29, 1963 in Thorntown, and she survives.

Mr. Faurote was the owner/operator of Lone Star Welding for 30 years.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of Korea and Vietnam.

He was a member of Buck Creek United Methodist Church.

Also surviving are five sons, Tom Parker (wife: Lisa), Todd Parker, Earl Faurote (wife: Laura), and Jim Faurote, all of Lafayette, and James Earl Faurote, stationed with the Army in Bagdad, Iraq; three daughters, Colleen Ann Faurote- Jaskal (husband: Tom) and Tiffany Dawn Faurote, all of Lafayette, and Diedra Cox (husband: Mike) of Linden; a brother, Melvin Dexter of Huntingburg; a sister, Carol Myers (husband: Glen) of Cloverdale; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Hippensteel Funeral Home, Lafayette. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
