Wagoner files with experience

Pete Wagoner of Jackson Township recently filed as a Democratic candidate for Camden town council. Wagoner was appointed to the council last December as president when longtime public servant Ralph Rohrabaugh passed away.

"I did not intend to run," Wagoner said. "But several people asked me to reconsider - no one seems to be seeking re-election. I'm interested in the town, I've lived here most all of my life, I have experience on the council and I will continue another four years."

If elected, Wagoner plans to contribute experience, including the time he spent on the council in the early nineties and his from many years of management experience gained from General Motors and Purdue construction. He will take advantage of this as the council faces challenges in the area.

"There is a challenge that's reflected all over Carroll County. The population isn't growing, business is leaving and we're struggling to hold our own. We need to reverse those trends," said Wagoner. "We have to look for ways to bring back growth in our community."
