Camden horse pull
The Percheron team of Buck and Charlie, pictured, won the Indiana Heavyweight Horse Pulling Contest in Camden Saturday night. They pulled 8000 lbs. 22'5". Owner and driver of the team is Bobby Milner of Prairie Creek, Ind. Other placings were: Second, George Biddle, Kirklin (Kevin and Rex pulled 8000 lbs. 13'3"); third, Shawn Strang, Terre Haute (Cracker and Charlie pulled 7500 lbs. 23'; and fourth, Ray Collier, Fillmore (Buck and Bones pulled 6500 lbs. 26'6". The event was one of the highlights of Camden's 175th anniversary celebration. The pull attracted an estimated 1500 spectators. See other Camden photos on page 9A.
