Lawries celebrate 60th

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lawrie of 8286N. CR850W., Delphi, celebrated 60 years of marriage with visiting family members in May.

Lawrie and the former Anna Mitchell were married May 29, 1947, at Main St. Methodist Parsonage in Logansport. Reverend I.L. Pusey officiated the ceremony.

The Lawries have five children, Shirley Tackett (husband: Gene) of Oklahoma, Sandy Carlson (husband: Ted) of Kokomo, Mary Bell (husband: Dr. Greg) of Logansport, Bobbie Ann Anderson (special friend David Basquez) of LaPorte, and Robert Lawrie (wife: Brenda) of Delphi. They also have 12 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren.

The couple celebrated in May with family, including the Tacketts, two grandsons from Stuart, Okla., two grandsons from Young, Ariz., and a granddaughter and her daughters from Apache Junction, Ariz.
