90th birthday

Jewell Rutledge of Camden will turn 90 years old on Monday. Friends are encouraged to stop in for a visit or send her cards to 435 N. Church St. #13, Camden, IN 46917.

Mrs. Rutledge was born July 23, 1917, in Summer Shade, Ky. to Rufus and Camilla Shives. She had three brothers, Travis Shives and Paul and Raymond Shives, and a sister, Fern Shive Barrett, all deceased.

She married Leonard Rutledge Oct. 6, 1935, at Cedar Flat Church in Greenburg, Ky. During their 58 years of marriage, they had four sons, Jerry and Ron Rutledge and the late Wendell and Robert Rutledge. She has eight grandchildren, one of whom is deceased. She also has three great-grandchildren.

She is a member of Camden Baptist Church. Her favorite hobbies included cooking and baking for others.
