Katherine E. Ward

Katherine E. Ward, 90, of Flora, passed away at 3:36 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette.

She was born Sept. 20, 1916, in Wabash, to Fred and Minnie Cook Miller. She attended school in Fort Wayne and Logansport. On June 21, 1937, she married Harold K. Ward in Logansport. He preceded her on April 16, 1989.

Mrs. Ward was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Donald Ward of Flora, Lowell Ward (wife: Sandy) of Cutler, Douglass Ward (wife: Mary Ellen) of Sellersburg; a daughter in-law, Toni Ward of Logansport; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, three brothers and three sisters.

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora. Pastor Nord Zootman officiated.

Reinke Funeral Home, Flora, was in charge of arrangements.
