Announcements Providers are invited to a FREE TRAINING about the new ways people can apply for FSSA's public assistance programs. This training is part of the Eligibility Modernization and will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. July 30 at the Delphi Public Library. Agencies attending will also be able to join the Voluntary Community Assistance Network (V-CAN). V-CAN members will be able to offer public assistance application information and access to their clients after the training. Register at www.in.gov/fssa, click Eligibility Modernization. The dates announced last week for the CARROLL COUNTY RELAY FOR LIFE were wrong. The event will be July 27 and 28 at the Carroll High School track. Times are 6 p.m. Friday to noon on Saturday. Teams camp out overnight, walk laps on the track, socialize, and participate in planned activities. Highlights of Friday night are a Victory Lap by cancer survivors and a Luminaria Ceremony at dusk. The event raises funds for the American Cancer Society. Donations can be made to the local event and participants can start or join a team by contacting Shawna Dreadfulwater, 765- 566-3702, or dreadful@ geetel.net. SINGLES will meet for lunch on July 26 at 11:30 a.m. at the Senior Center in Flora. Hickory Grove Church will host its 2nd Annual ICE CREAM SOCIAL on July 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. The community is invited. All donations will go to the Idaville Volunteer Fire Department. Hickory Grove Church is located on Carroll County Road 700W, five miles South of Idaville. |
