Delphi Junior Leaguers win Semi-State

      Delphi baseball's Junior division (10-year-olds-&- under) proved to be the class of the field Monday night in Walton with a double-header sweep of Alexandria to claim the Semi-State round of the 39th annual Town & Country Youth Baseball State Tournament.

Professional ATV racing comes to Rossville
      The sixth stop on the WPSA PowerSports ATV Tour is the AMSOIL Wildcat Creek Open Championship, this weekend at Wildcat Creek MX, Rossville. Over 400 riders are expected to compete.

Delphi high school fall sports call-outs coming up
      Delphi Community High School Athletic Director Vince Burpo has announced the 2007 high school fall sports call-outs and first practice times. Girls' Golf call-out will be July 27 at 9 a.m. at the Carroll County Country Club. After the meeting, practice will be held until noon. Coach is Bob Tyner.

Carroll County Soccer Camp
      Fifty-three youth ages four to 14 participated June 25-29 in Carroll County Soccer Camp. The event was sponsored by Carroll County Youth Soccer League. All participants received a T-shirt and soccer ball.

Garrison ranks 2nd in Mountain Dew Tour
      Megan Garrison played in the statewide Mountain Dew Tour last week at Stony Creek Golf Course in Noblesville. She finished second, shooting a 39-39 for a 78 total. Megan is currently ranked second on the tour out of 144 girls in the 15-16 age bracket. She is also first in total birdies made.
