Stationed in Iraq
      Cpl. Brady Sorrells of Flora has been stationed at Camp Ramadi in Iraq since April. The U.S. Marine is a combat engineer whose home base is Camp Lejeune, N.C. He enlisted in December 2003 and expects to be discharged this December.

      Chief of the Eel River Indian Tribe Mike Floyd promised in March a portion of the profits from the sales of two recent books, "Eel River Tribe" and "Family of Honor-l'Anguille Snakes in the Grass" would be used to fund scholarships for tribal youth.

New weather service installed at camp
      Boy Scouts and leaders from troop 155 stand with a large weather rock they constructed at Camp Buffalo. The weather rock properly indicated rain by getting wet when the club was pummeled by downpours during their week-long stay at the camp.

      After working 15 years at First Financial Bank, Delphi resident John Dunn recently opened his own business, Dunn Investments and Financial Services at 1001 S. Washington St. He offers 401K rollovers, IRAs, insurance, and long-term care to Carroll County, a place Dunn calls home.
