Friends of the Kokomo- Howard County Public Library will host a SPECIAL SUMMER BOOK SALE OF CHILDREN'S BOOKS from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the library, located at 220 N. Union St., Kokomo.

A TIPPECANOE COUNTY BUTTERFLY COUNT will be held July 21 at Eli Lilly Tippecanoe Labs Wildlife Habitat Area. Attendees should meet in the baseball field parking lot across from the lab. Butterfly identification training will be at 1 p.m., followed by the count from 2 to 4:30. A picnic cookout will start at 5. Rain date will be July 22.
