Pedaling in the parade
This big-wheel "bicycle built for two" won the award for "Best Walking Group" in Delphi's Independence Day Parade.

Although Caroll and Garrett DeYoung from St. Anne, Ill., are not really walking, they are moving by their own power.

Awards were presented by the Delphi Lions Club. Other winners were: Best Car or Truck, 1931 Model A pickup driven by Calvin Fieleke and pulling a John Deere mower for Jackson-Lee-Pearson; Best Tractor, 1952 G. John Deere driven by Harold Kibler of Monticello; Best Animal Group, miniature horse pulling a cart, driven by Kady McVay of Delphi; and Best Float, VFW Post 9383. More parade photos are on page 6B.
