Meetings Rock Creek Extension Homemakers Club met at Solomon's Grille for the June meeting. Norma Fuller was a guest. Grace Deel gave devotions on "Saying Grace." Marjorie Been gave the health and safety lesson on "How to Have More Energy." She said positive thinking and a good attitude result in more energy. Hazel Mullin gave the citizenship lesson on "Beginners Class for English." The next meeting will be in the Rockfield Presbyterian Church basement. Double Dozen EH Double Dozen Extension Homemakers Club met July 3 at the home of incoming president Lona Yeakley. Nine members responded to roll call. Special lesson for the evening was presented by Rick Martin of Bridge City Hobbies who spoke on coin collecting and all that is involved in this interesting and widespread activity. Virginia Marcellino presented the health and safety lesson, "Pass the Butter," lauding its health benefits. The birthday of Susie Dyke was recognized, and a gift was presented to outgoing president Wilma Robeson for her good and faithful service this past year. The annual Day Out will be Aug. 8 at Beef & Boards Dinner Theater. Following the meeting, the group played card bingo. The next regular meeting will be Sept. 4 at Faith Lutheran Church with Betty Bell as hostess. |
