The summer reading program at the library continues. Judy Berkshire provided an interesting program last week on pioneer medicine. She brought many herbs for display, mostly from her own herb garden. She made two different kinds of tea for the children to sample.

Miss Deb told a story from "Little House on the Prairie." In the story, at Christmas, each child received a cornbread heart-shaped cake and a shiny, new penny. All the children received a cake and penny.

On July 11, the children will take a trip to the Mullin Schoolhouse. Permission slips are needed for children to take part in this field trip.
