Herman Butz Jr.

Herman "Herm" Butz Jr., 58, of Delphi, passed away June 21, 2007, at 4:10 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Seton Specialty Hospital.

He was born July 17, 1948, in Lafayette to the late Gladys Brown Butz and Herman Butz Sr. He moved from Lafayette to Delphi in 1982.

Mr. Butz married Debra DeYoung in Monticello on Dec. 27, 1982, and she survives.

He was a motorcycle and small engine mechanic and was owner/operator of B&B Small Engine from 1992 to 1997.

He enjoyed fishing and radio-controlled airplanes.

Surviving are a son, Herman G. "Gus" Butz III of Delphi; a stepdaughter, Katherine Bell of Noblesville; and four grandchildren.

Mr. Butz was preceded in death by a sister.

A memorial service was held June 24 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Chapel in Delphi.
