Farm Service Agency certification deadline looming

Carroll County USDA Farm Service Agency reminded program participants that the deadline to file required certification of planted crop acreage and Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) acreage for 2007 is July 16.

Producers who fail to certify by the deadline may still certify, but a measurement service fee will be required to verify the acreage.

Producers who fail to certify at all will be ineligible for payments and participation in programs such as Direct and Counter-Cyclical Payment (DCP) Program, Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) and marketing loans and Loan Deficiency Payments (LDP).
