AMY L. LINN of Camden, was named to the dean's list at Marian College for the 2007 spring semester. The Delphi Community High School graduate is in her sophomore year, majoring in management .
HANNAH STRASSER, a sophomore at Delphi Community High School, attended the Hugh O'Brien Y o u t h (HOBY) Leadership Seminar held at Butler University in early June. She joined more than 150 other young leaders from throughout the state at the seminar.
The seminars bring together a select group of high school sophomores to interact with groups of distinguished leaders in business, government, education and other professions to discuss present and future issues. The HOBY goal is to provide a forum where students can learn about the free market and democratic process while they broaden their understanding of leadership potential.
HOBY leaders are challenged to perform at least 100 hours of community service in their home communities within 12 months following the seminar. NATHAN MULLENDORE recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wabash College, Crawfordsville, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He is the son of Brad and Sue Mullendore of Crawfordsville and the grandson of Mildred Mullendore of Flora. Brad Mullendore is also a graduate of Wabash College.

STEFAN BARTEL, a Youth For Understanding USA student from Austria, will make his home with Eric Johnson of Bringhurst for the 2007-2008 school year. He will be attending Carroll Jr.- Sr. High School.
As a member of the Johnson family, Bartel will participate in all family activities, from vacations to household chores, and he will learn about U.S. culture while sharing the culture of Austria with his host and schoolmates.
Beta Alpha Chapter of Psi Iota Xi Sorority has awarded two $1,000 Continuing Education Scholarships. Winners are: DIANE STOUT of rural Frankfort and CHASE RICHARDSON of rural Bringhurst.
Ms. Stout will use her award to study writing children's literature through the Institute of Children's Literature in West Redding, Connecticut. Richardson will use his scholarship to continue a biology major at Indiana University Kokomo.
JEFFREY P. MANNING of Bringhurst has been named to the Bucknell University dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2006-07 academic year. Bucknell University is in Lewisburg, Pa.
Indiana State University has announced its dean's list for the spring semester of 2007. Area students on the list include HEATHER BRAKEL and BRITTANY LAKE, both of Delphi, and ANGIE VEACH of Camden.
Four Delphi Community High School seniors were among 800 high school students from around the state who attended the IHSAA Leadership Conference held June 19 at Carmel High School.
BRITTANY TYNER, SHANE EVANS, ARIELLE BROSMAN and MATT LEWIS were chosen to attend because of their leadership qualities. DCHS teacher and volleyball coach Jessica Berger accompanied them.
The day-long event included hearing national motivational speakers and attending workshops.
The Delphi group participated in the T-shirt exchange where conference participants bring their school T-shirts to exchange with students from other schools.
MEREDITH N. MCKINNEY, a 1997 graduate of Carroll High School, received her Master of Science degree in applied sociology from the University of Texas-Dallas on May 4.
A resident of Dallas, she is employed by The Foundation for Community Empowerment. She works in the research division of J. McDonald Williams Institute.
She is the daughter of Willliam J. McKinney of Rossville and Florida. Peggy McKinney, her mother, resides in Austin, Texas.
