Appleton 45th anniversary

Charles and Carolyn Appleton, P.O. Box 8, Burrows, will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary with a special celebration on Sunday. An open house hosted by their children will be from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Wabash & Erie Canal Conference and Interpretive Center, Delphi.

Appleton and the former Carolyn Massey were married Feb. 11, 1962, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Logansport. Mr. Appleton is head custodian at the Carroll County Courthouse. Mrs. Appleton is employed in the X-ray department at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

They have three children, Cathy Walters (husband: Rick) of Delphi, Cora Krieg (husband: John) of Carthage, Mo., Cindy Appleton of Logansport, and Curtis Appleton (wife: Alisa) of Burrows, and six grandchildren.

The family will also be celebrating Chuck's 70th birthday and Carolyn's 65th birthday at a dinner.

The couple requests that gifts be omitted, but cards are welcome.
