Augst 50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Augst, 15 East Clem Street, Flora, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house on June 23.

The event, hosted by their children, will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Bringhurst United Methodist Church.

Augst and the former Carolyn Erb were married June 8, 1957, at the Grace Brethren Church in Lake Odessa, Mich.

Both are retired from Met Life, Kalamazoo, Mich. He was an insurance salesman, and she was an office manager.

They have five children, Vickie Ayres, Bringhurst; Gary Augst, Daqula, Ga.; Cheryl French, Kalamazoo, Mich.; Celeste Mandley, Flora; and Jason Augst, Wilmington, N.C. The couple has 13 grandchildren.
