Mary Katherine Myers

Mary Katherine Roach Myers, 83, passed away June 17, 2007, at 9:05 p.m. at Twin Lakes Village in Monticello. She had been resident there since May.

She was born Nov. 15, 1923, in Delphi to John and Ann Branigan Roach. She was born and raised in Delphi, then spent most of her adult life in the Yeoman community before she moved to the healthcare facility.

Myers was a 1941 graduate of Delphi High School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi.

She first worked at the former SAYCO manufacturing plant in Flora, then at Peters- Revington Furniture factory in Delphi, and finally at the former Hively Pharmacy in Monticello.

Myers enjoyed swimming and lake activities, bird watching and her animals.

Surviving are: a son, John Myers (wife: Leona) of Monticello; a brother, Robert Roach of Lafayette; a granddaughter; two step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is today, Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. until her funeral at 10:30 at Abbott Funeral Home in Delphi, officiated by Father Peter Vanderkolk. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
