Ruth M. Baker
She was born Dec. 13, 1925, to Howard and Flossie Gunter Tyner. She was a 1944 graduate of North Manchester High School. On Nov. 16, 1945, she married Louis E. Baker in North Manchester and he preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1999. Mrs. Baker was a retired accountant. She was a member of the Flora United Methodist Church and an associate member of the Community Church of Greenwood. She belonged to Beta Alpha Chapter of Psi Iota Xi sorority and the Federal Poetry Club. Surviving are one son, Bob Baker (wife: Diane) of Kissimmee, Fla.; one daughter, Nancy Lewark (husband: Greg) of Greenwood; one brother, Max Tyner (wife: Margie) of Bluffton; three sisters, Dorothy Binkley of Kokomo, Marcella DeBolt (husband: Floyd) of Bluffton, and Mary Lou Tyner of North Manchester; five grandchildren, Andrea Lewark, Rachel Lewark, Abby Lewark, Jillian James (husband: Travis), and Shayna Baker; and one great-grandchild, Kinzie James. Services were held Tuesday morning at the Flora United Methodist Church with Pastor Larry DeVos officiating. Burial was at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Reinke Funeral Home, Flora, was in charge of arrangements. |
