A unanimous vote by the commissioners of both Carroll and White counties means the barricades will come down this week permitting pedestrians and bicyclists t once again use Tioga Bridge to cross Lake Freeman between the two countries. The bridge will remain closed to all vehicular traffic.
Meeting at the White County Courthouse Monday afternoon the six local officials faced television cameras and a packed hearing room as they sought community input over the future of the historic single lane iron bridge.
The Commissioners were presented with a petition signed by approximately 1,400 people asking that the bridge be kept open.

The Flora Seniors, school faculty and guests stepped into a fairyland as they entered the Mississinewa Country Club the other evening. The gala occasion was the Flora junior-senior dinner and prom given by the juniors to honor their graduating schoolmates.
The theme "Fairyland Romance" was carried out with golden wands, castles and lucky four-leaf clover umbrellas. The sky was filled with lucky stars, in spite of the rain, and on the walls were murals of fairyland scenes. Punch was served throughout the evening by the pages, who were dressed as elves and fairies.
The music of Dick Mordenti filled the air as the couples danced away the evening.

Wolves have again been seen in Carrollton township by several people. The latest ones to be heard of were two young ones and an older one and were seen by James and Ross Mabbitt.
Since they have been losing several young pigs, they have been watching for them and recently saw the ones mentioned above. They reside in the west central part of the township. A female timber wolf was killed in Carrollton township several weeks ago by E. H. Grassmyer after it had been stealing sheep.
A definite drive to rid the township of these wolves will probably be made in the near future and will probably attract a large crowd from the rest of the county as wolves are very rare in this part of the country.

During the months of March and April, 1907, there was not a death within the corporate limits of the city of Delphi. Dr. Quick, city health officer, says that in the five years he has held the office there has been but one month when there was no death in the city. He regards the fact that two months without a death as most remarkable and as showing the general good health of Delphi.
