KAREN WEATHERWAX, owner/photographer of K. Weatherwax Photography near Delphi, was among 245 photographers who participated in the 27th session of M.A.I.P.P., June 3-7. The institute utilizes the facilities of the University of Northern Iowa to bring a unique educational experience to photographers. Students study with one of 12 nationally recognized photographers who teach in different fields of photography.

Weatherwax's week was with John Woodward with the main emphasis on mastering the light. Subjects offered are those that will advance the individual photographer in their particular field, including the latest digital techniques, wedding, portrait and fine art photography, as well as sales and marketing skills. Photographers from 18 states were represented at the institute.

THE ANDERSONS, INC. (Nasdaq:ANDE) dedicated its CLYMERS ETHANOL PLANTon Saturday morning.

State Senator Tom Weatherwax was among the featured speakers during the event, as well as representatives from the Indiana State Department of Agriculture, Senator Richard Lugar's office, the Renewable Fuels Association and The Andersons company.

Operational since late April, the facility is capable of producing 110 million gallons of ethanol annually. The plant also will produce 350,000 tons of distillers dried grain, an animal feed ingredient.

Delphi Clerk Treasurer JANICE ROE was one of more than 300 clerk-treasurers to attend the Annual State Board of Accounts School in Fort Wayne. Sessions were presented on DLGF, GASB, PERF, IRS, Ordinance Violations Bureau, and recent Senate and House acts which affect local government.
