Community Thank You

On June 12, my husband, Dennis, was injured when his motorcycle slid on gravel and went off the road on 1200 W. at the Carroll/Tippecanoe county line.

We would like to thank the many people who immediately stopped to help him, remove the bike off of him and called 911. They helped prevent the burns he suffered from being much more severe... we are ever grateful.

The 911 response by the Carroll County EMS was OUTSTANDING. They arrived within a very few minutes, treated his wounds on the scene and transported him to Home Hospital. They called to inform me of his accident in a calm and reassuring way. They told me all I needed to know to find him without delay. At the hospital they made sure I knew where he was and what my role was in helping him.

I have been a Registered Nurse for almost 40 years and can HONESTLY say the 911 services here are SECOND TO NONE! Thanks for the gentlemen who cared for us and the citizens who helped Denny. What a blessing to live where people "get involved" when they see someone in need!
