Everyone from the surrounding area is invited to watch or participate in the 14th annual INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE July 7 at 10 a.m. The parade is sponsored by Delphi Lions Club. Those who wish to participate should meet for registration at 7:45 a.m. in the Gerber-Globe Valve parking lot on N. MODERN'S EXTENSION HOMEMAKERS will meet for lunch June 28 at 11:30 a.m. at Solomon's Grille. Donna Romein will be hostess.

Carroll County Senior and Family Services is in need of

VOLUNTEER DRIVERS to transport seniors and disabled individuals. A valid driver's license is required. Call Jeff Sieber at (765) 564-2772 to inquire.

Pittsburg Baptist Church will hold a HOMECOMING SERVICE June 24 at 10:30 a.m. to celebrate its 50th year as a church. Dinner will be served at noon. Everyone is welcome.

Burlington Kiwanis Club will offer an AMERICAN RED

CROSS BLOOD DRIVE June 26 from 1 to 6:30 p.m. at Burlington Community Park on E. Fifth St. Donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, provide positive identification and be in general good health. Each will receive a teeshirt. DEMOCRAT CENTRAL COMMITTEE will meet at Jenny's Restaurant June 28 at 7 p.m. Preparations for a July 16 Democrat chicken dinner at the fairgrounds will be made.

CAMDEN'S 175TH CELEBRATION PLANNING COMMITTEE will hold its final meeting July 2 at 7 p.m. at Camden Methodist Church. The public is encouraged to attend to help with final preparations. CAMDEN'S 175THCELEBRATION will be July 21 and 22. A free continental breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. in front of the community building. Opening ceremonies will begin at 10. All other activities start at 11. Attendees are encouraged to dress in old-fashioned clothing to the event, similar to what would have been worn around the time of the town's inception in 1832.

Tippecanoe Players will present

FOOTLOOSEon July 5, 6, 7 and 8 at the Great Hall in the Merou Grotto in West Lafayette. This is the Players' first dinner theatre in the Lafayette area. Stephenie and Seth Pencek of Burlington are cast members. She is Carroll's drama director and he is a senior at CJSHS. Five percent of tickets sales can be donated to Carroll Jr.- Sr. High School if the school is named when ordering tickets.

Registration deadline is nearing for ARCHICAMP for children ages 8-12. Participants will spend two days, June 26 and 27, discovering the history of Delphi and its landmark architecture. Headquarters for the camp will be the Canal Interpretive Center. Each day's session will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and children should bring a sack lunch. Campers will travel on a canal boat, board a trolley for a tour of Delphi's historic architecture, and visit the old Opera House. Crafts will include making decorative plaster medallions and constructing a model town out of recycled materials. Reservations must be made by June 22. Grand Effect Productions will present "TWAIN BY THE TALE" on June 29, June 30 and July 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Wells Cultural Center in Lafayette. The show brings to life the writings of famous American author and humorist Mark Twain. Paul Allen, who is directing the production, will appear as Twain. Other cast members include Marcella VanSickle of Delphi, Cody Walker, Chris Walker, Brittney Little, and Sarah Peterson. A dinner theatre production of the same show will be presented on June 28. The first annual YMCA "RELIVE YOUR YOUTH" Track, Field, and Cross Country Meet will be held June 23 at the Carroll High School athletic field. Registration and sign-in time will be from 7:30-8:30 a.m. There will be four age groups competing: Men and women, age 30-54, and men and women, ages 55 and up. FLORA'S FIREWORKS will be on the Fourth of July (Wednesday) at dusk, preceded by a Gospel Fest at the Flora Community Park.

DELPHI'S FIREWORKS will be on the Fourth of July (Wednesday) at dusk, with a rain date of July 5. The Independence Day Parade will be on July 7 (Saturday), and Canal Days will be July 7 and 8.

BURLINGTON'S FIREWORKS will be on Wednesday, July 4, at dusk.
