County Legion baseball team organizes

Carroll County American Legion Baseball Team is off to a 3-0 start.

"I expect a pretty respectable season," said Ron Fritz, team manager. "We've already beat Lafayette."

Players on Carroll County's team are from Carroll, Twin Lakes, Logansport, Lewis Cass and Northwestern high schools. Players ages are 17 to 19.

Fritz said the team has a 27- game schedule and he expects his team to win 80% of their games. This is the second year for the program.

The team plays at home tonight (June 13) at 7 p.m. A double header will be played at home June 23, starting at 1 p.m.

Home games are played at the Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School diamond. Admission cost is $3 for adults and $2 for students.

Coaches are Paul Kubon and Phil Benton. Paul Manning is the statistician.

The team is currently participating in fundraising activities.
