Rev. Huse
Three Carroll County students at Ball State University have recently been named to the 2007 spring semester dean's list. They are: KENDRA CREE and REANNA MORRISON, both of Camden, and MIRANDA HARL of Monticello.

NATHAN AMOS of Burlington has received recognition on the National Dean's List for the spring semester of the 2007 academic year at Indiana Wesleyan University. He is the son of Pat and Becky Amos.

R E V . JOSEPH D. HUSE of rural Flora, earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Bakke Graduate University of Ministry, Seattle, Wash., during graduation ceremonies on June 2. In addition, he was named a "Raymond J. Bakke Scholar" and awarded a medallion at a brunch in honor of graduates by the university prior to the graduation ceremonies.

The doctoral program was a two and one-half year series of classes focused on global urban ministry and transformational leadership. Huse took classes in Seattle, Atlanta, and Indianapolis, as well as China and Estonia. Dr. Huse's thesis was titled Passing the Mantel of Leadership: A Case Study in the Definition, Recruitment and Installation of Executive Leadership. He passed his oral review with distinction.

Fields
Joseph Huse is employed by the American Baptist Churches of Greater Indianapolis as their Minister of Mission Resource Development. In that role, he assists the 32 affiliated churches in raising support for missionaries around the world and provides guidance for handson mission involvement projects. Currently, he is coordinating a hurricane relief effort in Pass Christian, Miss., as well as projects related to work in Estonia, India, and Christian Centers in Indianapolis.

NEAL BRACKETT, a 2006 graduate of Frontier High School, was named to the dean's list at Marian College, Indianapolis. He took 32 credit hours his first year and received a 4.0 the spring semester while also playing baseball for the Knights. He is the son of Tony and Stephanie Brackett of Chalmers.

AMANDA FIELDS, a 2007 graduate of Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School, has been awarded a $2,500 first place scholarship from the national scholarship committee of Delta Theta Chi sorority. The local Gamma chapter selected her application and forwarded it to the state level, where she was a winner. Her application was then reviewed by the national committee. Applicants were judged on their grades, financial need, leadership, extracurricular activities, and recommendations.

Fields was salutatorian of her class. She will major in accounting this fall at Purdue University. She is the daughter of Diane Miller of Cutler and John Fields of Lafayette.

The winner of the $300 local scholarship presented by Gamma chapter was ADAM BONNER, son of Rob and Brenda Bonner of Flora.
