90th birthday celebration

Clarence V. May, 324 Lawn Ave., West Lafayette, 47906, will celebrate his 90th birthday with a family dinner on June 10. The celebration will be hosted by his daughters, Sharon Hantschel, Delphi, Janet Johnson, Aurora, Colo., and Margene Sims Shugarts, Fairfax Station, Va.

Mr. May was born and raised in the Brookston area, the son of Robert F. and Neva P. May. He married Esther M. Deckard in 1939 and settled in West Lafayette in 1940 where he owned the May Electric Co. on State Street. Later he also opened the May Co. on South River Rd., selling furniture and appliances.

He is a member of the Lions Club, holding many offices over the years.
