Dorothula E. Longshore Johnson

Dorothula E. Longshore Johnson, 90, formerly of Delphi, died May 31, 2007 at Twin Lakes Village in Monticello.

She was born Nov. 1, 1916, in Sleeth, to Jeppie and Elizabeth Simons Downham. She married Merwin Longshore on Sept. 5, 1931, in Marion, and he died April 10, 1956. She married Glen L. Johnson on Sept. 14, 1968, in Pittsburg. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1990.

Mrs. Johnson worked at Peters Revington Furniture in Delphi. She attended Delphi Pentecostal Church.

Surviving are four children, Rev. James Longshore of Timmonsville, S.C., Gail Longshore of Florence, Colo., Arlene Weiss of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Doris Joslyn of Monticello; a sister, Lottie Mae Walters of Morgantown; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Services were held June 4 at Davidson Funeral Home in Delphi. Burial was at I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens in Delphi.
