Rossville valedictorian, salutatorian named

Brovont
Rossville High School's top of the class for 2007 are Aaron Brovont, valedictorian, and Amy Stark, salutatorian. Both were presented the Academic Honors Diploma at commencement exercises June 2.

Brovont is the son of Doug and Debbie Brovont of Rossville.

He was president of National Honor Society, a PEER mentor, and an RHS Ambassador. He sang in the choral groups, All That Jazz, Men of Integrity, and the All-State Choir. He participated in drama, Fellowship of Christian Athletes/Brothers In Christ, Overtones gospel quartet, and Mid Summer Theatre program.

He plans to attend Purdue University and major in engineering.

Stark is the daughter of Eric and Debrough Stark of Lafayette.

She was vice president of National Honor Society, vice president of Student Council, and vice president of Speech Team, and played in the concert band. She participated in tennis, volleyball, and basketball. Other activities included Bethany Presbyterian Church - Crucifer; Instead Time, VBS; food collection for the Rossville Food Pantry; and assisted with the mock disaster. She also helped kindergarten students with art. During her sophomore year, she was secretary of her class.
