Jim French has been planting daffodil bulbs in his yard for the past 10 years and now has close to 3,000. When French first started planting spring flowers at his rural Delphi home, he tried tulips, but soon switched to daffodils when he learned that they were "rabbit proof". The animals, which enjoy munching on tulips, find daffodils poisonous.

There were 91 divorces granted in Carroll County in 1981, according to a report by the Department of Health & Human Services. For comparison 175 marriage licenses were applied for in the county during the same period.

Over 700 guests attended the Bright National Bank open house for the grand opening of their newly remodeled and enlarged downtown facility.

The Delphi City Council may be visited by several parents Monday night to get an order rescinded that prohibits riding horses in the park. They will contend that the riding causes very little, if any, actual damage, that the park is principally used to reach the remote part at the east end and the swimming hole where the boys swim their horses in the summer time, that usefulness is beauty itself, that encouraging horsemanship is discouraging juvenile delinquency and that anyway, horse tracks are better than beer cans.

To carry on the instructional work at Camp Tecumseh, this year, an extremely strong corps of leaders has been selected. B.A. Schnell will be in general charge of the camp as usual and he has made a very fine director in the past. Miss Ruth Sinks will be the girl's director for the camp, and she also is very efficient.

Issac Greyearth, Sioux Indian and Joe Devadanam from India, will be the other leaders at the camp.

Camp Tecumseh is open to boys and girls of good character, 9 years old and over. The total for a ten day period is only $11.00. The includes meals, lodging, use of boats and other camp equipment and instruction.

Visitors are always welcome at the camp. A charge of 50 cents for noon meals is made. Other meals 35 cents. Also accommodations are available for sleeping at the rate of 50 cents per night.

Tomorrow the town of Flora will be only 34 years old. It hardly seems possible but such is the fact. During the last five years prior to the census of 1900 the population of the town had doubled itself. Many conservative residents are of the opinion now that the town has over 1800 population. Mrs. Arthur Blue of near Wheeling was the first white child born in Flora, where the sample room of the Commercial hotel is now located.
