James R. Francis

James R. Francis, 51, of Delphi, died unexpectedly May 27, 2007 at 1:45 p.m. at his residence.

He was born May 4, 1956, in Kokomo, to James and Sharon Cass Francis. His marriage was to Joan G. Nix in Dothan, Ala., on Oct. 19, 1973. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Francis was most recently employed by the Lafayette Journal & Courier.

Surviving are his mother Sharon Sharp (husband: Jeff) of Kokomo; his father; four daughters, Crystal Busch (husband: Randy) of Flora, Hollie Jeffrey (husband: John) of Ocala, Fla., Desirea Francis of Lafayette and Dusty Daniels (husband: Ron) of Delphi; a son,

Tom E. Francis (fiancée Trina Stewart) of Flora; a brother, John Reed of Kokomo; two sisters, Cindy Cardwell of Kokomo and Barbara Brovont of Monticello; a grandson, A.J. Francis, whom Mr. Francis was raising; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be today, Wednesday, at 1 p.m. at Abbott Funeral Home in Delphi. Service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Forrest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Ocala.
