Bridge replacement south of Burlington closes SR 29

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will temporarily close a section of State Road 29 between State Road 26 and State Road 22 for up to 60 days beginning today, May 30, for the bridge replacement over Hurricane Creek, 1.7 miles north of S.R. 26.

A posted, 27.8-mile detour will direct northbound S.R. 29 traffic to take S.R. 26, west to S.R. 75, north to S.R. 18, east and back to S.R. 29. Southbound S.R. 29 traffic will be directed to take S.R. 18 west to S.R. 75 south to S.R. 26 east and back to S.R. 29.

Local resident or business traffic will still be able to access their properties north and south of the bridge.
