Carroll names top of the class

Myer
The Class of 2007 at Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School has two valedictorians and one salutatorian.

Sharing the valedictorian honor are Kristen Myer and Lindsay Stiller. Salutatorian is Amanda Fields. They were recognized last Saturday at Carroll's commencement.

All three students earned the Academic Honors Diploma and qualified for the President's Award for Educational Excellence.

Myer is the daughter of David and Amy Myer of Flora. She was secretary of National Honor Society and a member of Sunshine Club and Key Club. She also was on the swim team for three years and was a media center aide.

A 4-H member, she is secretary of the Monroe Achievers 4-H Club and secretary of Junior Leaders.

At Awards Night, she received the Wendy's Heisman Award, Carroll County Extension Homemakers Scholarship, and was a Hoosier Scholar alternate.

She plans to attend Butler University and major in prepharmacy.

Stiller is the daughter of Robert and Becky Stiller of Flora. She was treasurer of the Senior Class, president of Key Club, and editor of the school yearbook. She was on the math team for five years, and was a member of National Honor Society, Sunshine Society, and was on the prom committee. She played volleyball and was a swimmer. In her junior year, she was class vice president. She is a member of the Burlington Church of Christ.

Stiller
At the awards program, she received a Rotary Citizenship award, Principal's Leadership Award, Prudential Spirit of Community Award, DAR award, math, science, and social studies awards, and was an Indianapolis Star Academic All-Stars regional finalist. She also received the Burlington Kiwanis Club and Indiana Kiwanis scholarships, Salin Bank Foundation scholarship, Bepko scholarship, and was named a Hoosier Scholar.

Stiller plans to attend Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis and major in history.

Fields, of Cutler, is the daughter of Jeff and Diane Miller and John and Nancy Fields.

She was president of National Honor Society and a member of Key Club, Sunshine Society, FCCLA, and math team. She is also a 4-H member.

At Awards Night, she received the English award, Delta Theta Chi National Educational Scholarship, and Loren N. & Wynona Collier Scholarship. She is a 21st Century Scholar and a Hoosier Scholar.

Fields
She plans to major in accounting in the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University.
