i-Read Challenge motivates readers
Pictured left to right, Eric Conde won a new bike, Miranda Kinzie received a new I-Pod and Johnni McCarty was presented a gift card in the i-Read Challenge held recently at Hillcrest Elementary School. The program encouraged students to read outside of school for at least 15 minutes each weekday for four weeks. Those who met the challenge were entered into a drawing each week they did so. Hillcrest Principal Bill Shidler said the challenge is valuable even for those who did not win.
